Someone must teach new things. Someone must take abuse. Someone must be ostracized. Someone must be called a fraud and a quack. Then, out of all of it, comes the new truth to become a part of us . . . Thus we receive new facts to make up our proud profession of knowledge.”
– Fred Hart (1888-1975)
The big idea is simple: The power that made the body heals the body. The same energy that allows us to walk, digest and laugh is constantly working to heal our bodies. This power is called the ‘Innate’ healing system of the body. Hippocrates, the father of medicine, called it ‘Nature’. This natural innate power is the same power that runs the cycle of the world.
- It’s how eggs know to hatch after full development
- It’s how cuts heal themselves
- It’s how seeds know how to grow into plants
- It’s how birds know to fly south in the winter
- It’s how bees know where to find the flower
Chiropractic is the most powerful way on earth for stimulating the natural healing ability of the body. This is not my opinion – it’s documented, scientific fact. And the explanation is simple.
Our body’s nervous system, just like our home’s electrical system, has a circuity breaker – our spine. When we’re overly stressed or physically injured, circuits go out. Chiropractic calls this a subluxation. When you have a subluxation your body simply doesn’t work as well as it should.
Signs You Have a Subluxation:
- Pain – anywhere in the body
- Weight Gain
- Endocrine problems
- Digestive Problems
- Low energy
- Heart issues
- Lowered Immune System
The Goal of Chiropractic – True Healing
The chiropractic adjustment resets the spinal subluxation, allowing the body’s nervous system to reconnect so the brain can once again direct healing. As long as our health is not beyond the tipping point, we heal.
Chiropractic’s aim is simple – maximizing full individual potential, life in its upmost. By removing the blockages we can achieve our God-given genetic promise of a long and healthy life.
So if chiropractic is the truth in healing, why do so few people use it?
There is truth and the lie. Right and wrong. This dichotomy permeates everything – morality, religion, politics, and medicine.
As truth gains acceptance, it goes through multiple stages before everyone understands it to be self-evident. The German philosopher, Arthur Schopenhauer, described the three stages that truth passes through: “All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.”
Stage 1 – Ridicule
The idea seems silly at the time because no one has ever heard or thought of it.
Stage 2 – Violent Opposition
The power structure in place and those benefiting from the current paradigm oppose the rise of truth and persecute the perceived threat – blood almost always flows.
Stage 3 – Universal Acceptance
Once a percentage of the population knows the truth, the rest usually accept it quickly.
In medical history, take for instance the physician Ignaz Semmelweis, who is now often described as “the savior of children and mothers.” He discovered that if a physician simply washes his hands before delivering a child that the chances of getting puerperal fever (childhood fever contacted at birth due to infection) could be drastically reduced. When he made this discovery, birthrate mortality hovered at about 35% in Austria and Hungary.
For this simple yet significant discovery – that today is obviously self-evident – what did he receive in payment? His views conflicted with the “established scientific community,” and he was rejected, and committed to an asylum at 47 years old. He was beaten to death 14 days after arriving at the institution.
Chiropractic is currently in Stage 2 of truth where it is being violently opposed by those who benefit from you being sick. Since its inception in 1895, the chiropractic profession has been persecuted by the medical establishment.
In 1969 the American Medical Association was sued for their propaganda smear campaign aimed at discrediting, defaming and ultimately dismantling chiropractic. Chiropractic ultimately won this lawsuit, but despite this win, the persecution continues to this day, albeit in subtler forms. I know because I have been the personal victim of attacks. There are many out there trying to suppress the truth of chiropractic so they can benefit off you being sick…so they can be rich.
The Goal of Medicine – $$$$
In 2011, doctors wrote 4.02 billion prescriptions and the cost of medicine was $3.2 trillion. That’s 13 prescriptions for every man, woman, and child at a cost of $10,000 for every person.
I mean, really?
These “properly” prescribed medications are causing serious, damaging side effects in 1 out of 5 people and are directly responsible for 120,000 deaths annually, making it the fourth leading cause of death in this country.
The Annals of Internal Medicine concluded that drugs are often prescribed because the threshold for what constitutes “illness” keeps getting lower and lower.
That’s right: Modern medicine is constantly expanding the criteria for who has a “need” for medical care.
This journal’s study also found that physicians are caught up in an “auditing and reward system.” Drug companies reward doctors for prescribing more drugs. There is a “prescribing cascade” in which doctors prescribe drugs to relieve effects caused by other drugs. Then, of course, doctors add even more drugs to relieve new side effects from recently prescribed drugs.
Where does it end?
It ends when you decide to try chiropractic.
My Chiropractic Story
When I was ten years old I was run over by a car. The elderly person didn’t see me at the crosswalk nor did they realize they hit me, and I was dragged 50 yards down the street. My body tumbled, rolled, and broke before I was finally spit out. Amazingly, my guardian angel spared my life.
I spent the next three weeks in a hospital bed recovering, and to the onlooker I did just that. But inside I knew something was still wrong. As time went on I began to fracture bones easily (my right arm 4 times and all of my front 4 teeth), I struggled in school and my father had to prescribe me an anticonvulsant medication to help me get through my days. I was held back two different years in grade school because school was difficult for me. I developed severe acne, was frequently sick, had constantly dislocating shoulders and the arches of my feet collapsed. My health was a mess for many years.
After a failed shoulder surgery my sophomore year of college I did the unthinkable – I visited a chiropractor. He showed me how the bones in my neck and low back had been out of place for more than 10 years. He explained how the nervous system controls healing and the reason I wasn’t healing was because my nervous system wasn’t communicating properly with the rest of my body.
Over the course of the next six months I went through a series of adjustments to realign my spine, reconnect my nervous system and heal my body. They were painless. And soon so was I.
Because of chiropractic I am simply better today, my body has broken the shackles of illness and the residue from that accident. As a result, I’ve dedicated my life to helping other people achieve the same healing. As of today I have given almost 200,000 adjustments to subluxated people, and I’ve seen over and over again the miracle that occurs when you give nature a chance to heal.
